Burton Mail ‘Feed our Families’ campaign

We were asked by the Burton Mail to support this year's 'Feed our Families' campaign and we were delighted to say yes because it is such a worthwhile cause. Students, parents and staff have been encouraged to donate just one item each towards the food bank. No-one should be going hungry these days or facing situations alone in times of crisis.

5 large boxes of food donations were donated on behalf of The William Allitt School, which was superb! A big thank you to all the students, parents/carers and staff who kindly donated in support of this campaign.

BBC Children in Need & The Poppy Appeal

Students organised and delivered numerous activities as part of BBC Children in Need ‘Champions of Change’ initiative. Activities included teacher sponging, football shoot out, wheelchair basketball, sponsored runs, various games, cakes and sweets sale, homemade merchandise and much more.

The Children in Need total came in at £1,059.01! The Poppy Appeal also came in at £1,063.03!  Well done to all for a tremendous effort!
